A tripwire was set off last night. This one just popped a flare – we’re a bit low on claymores. A patrol was on it pretty quickly but no sign of who or what set it off. The optimists around the camp are thinking that perhaps the wildlife is coming back now that less people are around. The pessimists among us haven’t forgotten about the Slov that was spotted the other day. Either way, everybody is a little more alert now. The patrols have doubled their manpower for the time being and the chopper has been out on a couple of recces to make sure we’re still alone. Nothing so far, but I’ve still got that itching feeling at the back of my skull, and it’s not dandruff (well, it might be actually, but that’s not what’s causing the feeling).
